Hyperspectral airborne sensors have high potential for data acquisition due to the high number of spectral bands and the possibility of imaging large areas in a short period of time. This work aims to present the new reality of airborne imaging spectroscopy in Brazil, with the new AisaFENIX airborne sensor / imager that was recently acquired by the State University of Maringá, under the responsibility of Prof. Dr. Marcos Rafael Nanni. Also present the aerial survey route carried out in three days on the States of São Paulo and Paraná, Brazil, with this sensor. As the main characteristics, the imaging and production of hypercube with 344 bands in the vis / NIR portion (400 to 1000 nm) and 275 spectral bands in the SWIR portion (1000 - 2400 nm) totaling 619 bands, being able to be airborne, tripod - coupled With rotating base or in laboratory in system of sliding platform. The FOV and focal aperture of the sensor allow you to obtain images with 0.35 m of spatial resolution with flight height of 600 meters and so on. It is believed that this will be a milestone in airborne hyperspectral imaging in Brazil, and different research institutions may be contemplated with products of high spectral and spatial quality.
